About Us
Holloway Adventurer Club is a Seventh-day Adventist Church-sponsored ministry open to all families of children ages 3 – 9. Our Adventurer Club is designed to stimulate the child’s budding curiosity towards the world about them. Our program includes age-specific activities that involve both parent and child in recreational activities, simple crafts, appreciation of God’s creation, and other activities that are of interest to that age. Our program aims to strengthen the parent/child relationship and to further the child’s development in spiritual, physical, mental and social areas.
Our goals:
1. The child will, at their own level, commit their hearts and lives to Jesus Christ.
2. The child will gain a positive attitude toward the benefits, joys, and responsibilities of living a Christian life.
3. The child will acquire the habits, skills and knowledge needed to live for Jesus today.
4. Parents and other primary caregivers will become more confident and effective as co-labourers with Christ for their children.

Our Activities
Our Adventurer Clubs is full of creativity and imagination! The children learn about the Bible, health and fitness, nature, and people skills through:
- Club Meetings
- Field Trips, e.g. Zoo
- Nature Activities e.g. treasure hunt
- Crafts & Games e.g. face and textile painting, baking.
- Conference Events
- Camp & Camping Skills
An adult supervises all activities.
We attend at least two camps per year, one organised by our local club and the other by the South England Conference (SEC). In our local camp the Adventurers and Pathfinders camp, share, learn and have fun together. Whilst at the SEC camp, known as Adventurer Camporee, the Adventurers make new friends, play, have fun and learn of Jesus in a simplistic manner with fellow Adventurers attending from within the South of England.
The activities are to help the Adventurer to:
- Develop a Christ-like character
- Learn Christian Values
- Express their love for Jesus naturally
- Discover their God-given abilities and use them to benefit self and others.
- Experience the joy and satisfaction of doing things well
- To learn good sportsmanship and strengthen their ability to get along with others
- To improve their understanding of what makes families strong.
