Bereavement
Many of us may be aware, but for those who aren’t, it is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Sis Joycelyn Spellen. Sister Spellen, the mother of Sis Barbara Lawrence and a long standing member here at Holloway, passed away on Tuesday 22nd February. Her funeral, which is scheduled to take place here at Holloway, will be on Thursday 24th March at 10am. Further information about the day will be made available in due course, but in the meantime the family are asking for prayers during this truly difficult time.
Hope Prayer Line
It is often said that prayer is the key; we truly believe it here at Holloway, and so all members are therefore invited to the Holloway Prayer and Evangelism line. The prayer line takes place 7 days a week at the following times:
- Sundays from 8.30am to 10am
- Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 6am to 6:45am
- Tuesday from 6am to 6:45am and from 7pm to 8:30pm
To take part, you’ll need to dial 03330112318, entering ID 38324218# then entering code 8305#
Communion
Our first Communion of the year will be taking place on Sabbath 2nd April here at Holloway. For those that wish to take part but will be unable to attend Holloway in person on 2nd, Communion sets are available to pick up this afternoon from Sis Andrea Philip and also on Wednesday (16th) from a Haven Cafe leader.
Please see Sis Andrea Phillip after service today.
Family Fun Day
The Social Committee is inviting all Holloway families to a special Fun Day at Tufnell Park on Bank Holiday Monday 18th April 2022, from 10am to 5pm. Bring along your ideas and equipment for fun activities for all ages. Remember to bring a packed lunch or a dish for Potluck. More information will be given over the coming weeks. So save the date in your diary for what will be a fun packed day.
And finally…
Camp Meeting
We are pleased to announce that Camp Meeting is back for 2022 with the theme ‘Let’s Cross Over’! Following the onset of the pandemic, our churches being closed, and communities being torn apart, we are all invited to unite under the guidance of the Holy Spirit in crossing over to a new reality with Christ’s Good News at the forefront. The weeklong programme starts from Monday 30th May to Sunday 5th June and will cater to attendees both online and in-person, consisting of prayer, praise and practical workshops that explore how Christ is calling us to cross over today. Not only will this be an opportunity for holistic growth and development, it’ll also be a chance to rest and relax at the brand-new Hay’s Wood Retreat Centre in King’s Lynn, Norfolk.
Spaces for in-person attendance are limited, so, to register your interest please take down the Eventbrite link that’s on the top right hand corner of the poster on the noticeboard as soon as possible.
